Join the Women’s Center in partnership with UCSB Reads this winter for the Feminist Book Club, featuring the UCSB Reads selection Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. Together, we’ll explore Zauner’s memoir and engage with themes of grief, cultural identity, family, and the bonds between mothers and daughters. The event will take place in the Women’s Center Lounge. This book club is open to all and designed to encourage connection and conversation.

Participants are welcome to attend any or all sessions—attendance at every meeting is not required, though continued participation supports community building.

The first meeting will focus on introductions and book distribution. The remaining two meetings will divide the reading in half and center on guided discussion of the text.
